The growing number of plug-in vehicles coming to the market, the availability of car charging points for home use is very important and Charging Solutions has a product for all situations, wherever they need to be located.
The most popular is the wall mounted single outlet version, however, the double outlet wall or ground pole mounted options would be suitable for apartment and communal parking areas where more than one car charging point is required.
Recent Government survey data shows that around 80% of plug-in vehicle charging is going to be done at home or at work and we have tailored our products to offer the best options for these requirements.
Under "Plugged-in Places" the UK Government's Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Scheme, depending on where your home is, you may be eligible for grant funding support towards the purchase and installation of your home car charging point. We are able to find out if you are eligible and help you apply for a grant.
Currently the Plugged-in Places regions are London, East of England, Milton Keynes, Midlands , Greater Manchester, North East, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
For purchase of electric vehicles, the Department for Transport has launched the "Plug-in Car Grant", which offers a grant of up to 25% of a qualifying ultra-low emission vehicle, up to a maximum of £5,000. As of March 2012 the eligible cars are Chevrolet Volt, Citroen CZero, Mia, Mitsubishi iMiEV, Nissan Leaf, Peugeot iOn, Renault Fluence ZE, Smart fourtwo electric drive, Tata Vista, Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid and Vauxhall Ampera.
